Body Shop Manager

Job Summary:

The Collision Center Manager will lead one of the country’s largest Collision Centers.  Our well established collision center supports our 5 dealership franchises, over 5 paint booths, 2 cut-in booths, 40 productions stalls, 400 parking spots, a motivated team of 100+, and a production goal of $1 Million plus!

Our ideal candidate is someone with a positive attitude, excellent interpersonal skills, capable of communicating effectively with executive management, insurance companies, customers, technicians and willing to roll-up his sleeves to work with his team side by side.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Responsible for productivity, safety, writing estimates, and working with insurance companies
  • Ensure that customers receive prompt, courteous, and effective service.
  • Serve as a liaison between technicians and customers.
  • Take ownership of the customer's experience by carrying out those additional assignments that allow the dealership to leave a positive impression with the customer
  • Manage, Interview, and Hire technicians.
  • Ensure that work is distributed evenly between technicians.
  • Prioritize required services.
  • Ensure customer has a positive dealership experience.
  • Spend quality time building relationships with the customers.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 10+ years of experience as a Body Shop Manager or Assistant Body Shop Manager, in a large facility.
  • Managed monthly sales goals of 1+ million or more.
  • Ability to supervise a team of 80+ people
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
  • Working knowledge of all aspects of repairs for damaged body parts and bodies of vehicles.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to interpret vendor catalogs.
  • Good organizational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to handle employee problems on a daily basis.
  • Fully capable of conducting effective training programs.
  • Knowledge of EPA, OSHA, and other safety regulation laws, processes, and procedures.
  • Ideally bilingual (english/spanish) and open to working in a multicultural environment.
