Fixed Operations Director

Leading high-end luxury dealership in Miami, FL. is search for a full-time Fixed Operations Director with experience to assist with our growth!

The Fixed Operations Director oversees the Service Department, Parts Department and Body Shop; and is responsible for the reputation, efficiency and profitability of these departments.

 

Duties Include:

  • Preparing an annual operating budget, goals and objectives for each department and monitoring the departments’ performance.
  • Directing the hiring and training of managers for the service, parts and body departments.
  • Working with department managers to improve profitability and efficiency.
  • Creating and maintaining a positive relationship with customers, ensuring that department staff is helpful, as well as making customer satisfaction a priority to ensure referral and repeat business.
  • Working directly with customers and warranty clerks to administer warranty claims, as well as understanding and applying warranty guidelines.
  • Creating dealership service and pricing policies for approval by the general manager.
  • Ensuring that service repairs are performed efficiently and correctly by conducting spot checks on jobs.

 

Job Requirements:

  • 8+ years’ overall experience in automotive dealership industry. 
  • 5+ years previous experience as a Fixed Ops Director or Service Manager in a dealership managing the parts, service and body shop departments.
  • Must have experience managing multiple brands (3+) at the same time.
  • Required to maintain the profitability of their department while controlling expenses and maintaining customer satisfaction.
  • Required to not only understand and keep abreast of the federal, state, and local regulations that affect their operations, but also to comply with these regulations as well as hazardous waste disposal and OSHA Right-to-Know regulations.
  • Provide necessary training on these regulations and ethical practices.
  • Must be able to manage a team of 10+ direct reports and 50+ indirect reports.
  • Train, motivate and develop current employees and new hires.
  • Strong leadership, organizational and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to work extended hours, evenings and weekends to achieve your goals.
  • Experience as a technician or good technical aptitude is a big plus.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employments screens (Background & Drugs)
  • 10%  travel

 

Education Requirements:

Four-year college degree in business administration or marketing is highly preferred
National Institute of Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Master Technician Certification.
